About APIEMS

Industrial engineering was sprouted from major engineering disciplines that called for better professional understanding of industrialization. Ever since, our discipline has been the star role player in confronting emerging industries; be it manufacturing, service, high tech products, outer space technology, information technology, industrial policy, ergonomics, and now world’s greatest concern, sustainable development. The Core value of APIEMS is associating and exchanging the better industrial engineering education, researches, and exchange information from different countries.

APIEMS By Laws

Article B-1: MEMBERSHIP

1. Board membership shall reflect the geographic and professional diversity of the membership.
2. Board membership consists of Founding Board Membership and Elected Board Membership. These two memberships are equally treated in authorities and responsibilities.
3. Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor of the IEMS Journal are ex- officio board members.

Article B-2: FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP

1. Each country/region in the Asian Pacific Rim can at most has three founding Board Members.
2. Founding Board Members would be considered for removal from the board if they do not attend the board meeting for two consecutive times without any acceptable reasons.

APIEMS Constitution

Asian Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Society (APIEMS)

Article C-1: NAME

1. The name of this organization shall be the Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Society (APIEMS).

Article C-2: PURPOSE
1. The APIEMS is organized and shall be operated exclusively for

scientific and educational purposes. In the furtherance of such purposes, it shall be authorized:

1. (a)  To promote the dissemination of knowledge and information relating to Industrial Engineering and Management by means of meeting, publications, giving awards and related activities.
2. (b)  To promote mutual interaction and cooperation among the professional organizations and staffs, related to Industrial Engineering and Management discipline, in the Asian Pacific Rim and in the world.

Article C-3: ORGANIZATION

1. The Organization of APIEMS shall consist of a policy-making body and a policy-implementation body.
2. The policy-making body is called the Board of Trustees. The policy-implementation body is called the Administrative Office.
